I drink Chaga everyday because I know it gives me the best support for my immune system. It greatly improved my digestion and in 5 years I haven’t had a cold or flu. Since Chaga tastes great it naturally became part of my daily routine.” – Philip Cotter, Chaga Tea Ireland

I am so glad I found Chaga Tea in Ireland and especially in this form - 100% chunks of chaga that are the best to make... a tea. Chaga was recommended me a while ago in Slovakia; however I was not sure if I can get it here in Ireland as well. On the market you can find Chaga powder, Chaga capsules; but the best is the form of chunk when you can boil your own tea to get the magic out of this mushroom. I was impressed by supplier story and it is great he is delivering here. I am very happy customer and I cant wait for results.read more

FAQ

Why is it beneficial?

As you can see from the list below, Chaga is incredibly supportive to the immune system. It also has one of the highest levels of anti-oxidants of any food:

Chaga ORAC chart :

Beta-glucans / Polysacharides – essential nutrients for the immune system.

Betulinic Acid – Chaga converts betulin (from the Birch bark) into digestible Betulinic Acid which has been shown to reduce inflammation drastically, supporting healthy function of the immune system, and healthy cell division.

Melanin – possibly the best food source for melanin. An important pigment for healthy skin, hair and eyes.

Vitamin D2 – one of the few food sources for this. Important for people who don’t get enough sunlight. It supports a healthy immune system, calcium absorption, healthy bones and teeth.

Vitamin B1, B2, B3 – these help convert food into energy, keeps your skin, lining of the gut, and blood cells healthy.

Zinc – important for tissue repair, immune function, blood clotting, healthy thyroid function. Chaga also contains: Amino Acids, Calcium, Chloride, Copper, Enzymes, Flavonoids, Germanium, Inotodiols, Iron, Lanosterol, Manganese, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Polysaccharides, Potassium, Saponins, Selenium, Sodium, Vitamin K.

Where does it come from?

Our wild Chaga is collected in Russia. Chaga also grows in Canada, Norway, Sweden and eastern Europe.

How is it consumed?

is usually consumed as a tea but can also be used as a stock for quinoa or rice for example. It can be used to make Chaga tinctures (alcohol extractions) after it has been used for tea.

How do I make the tea?

1. Put approx. 30g of Chaga and 1 litre of water in a covered pot. 2. Turn on heat. When it’s close to boiling turn off heat and leave sit for 30 minutes OR simmer for up to 2 hours. Depending on desired strength. (This step can be repeated for a stronger brew after repeated use.) 3. Remove Chaga pieces from tea and allow to dry in a warm area until next use OR store covered in the freezer. Chaga can be re-used many times to make tea.

How much should I drink?

This is entirely up to you. I would suggest starting with 1 mug a day and then increasing as you see fit.

Where do you ship to?

We offer shipping to anywhere in Ireland, UK and Europe.

Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any diet or supplementation program.

About Us

Chaga Tea Irelands aim is to make Chaga easily available for Irish people.

In our current age of vitamin depleted foods; GMOs; rising food allergies/IBD/Crohns/Colitis/Celiacs disease etc.; bombardment by electronic devices including EMF and RFR; it feels vital to keep our immune systems strong and well nourished.

All of our Chaga is wild and handled with care from tree to your cup!

“A Chaga a day keeps the doctor away.”

After a year of drinking Chaga daily I felt compelled to start selling it in Ireland. None of the health food shops I inquired at had even heard of it back in 2015 so it felt like an obligation to bring it here. 5 years later and I’m still drinking it regularly and continue to reach out to people to inform them of the benefits of this powerful gift from nature.

My Story from 2015

Back in 2006 I was diagnosed with Crohns/Colitis. For the next 7 years I took anti-inflammatories daily and once or twice a year had to take steroids.  My condition was basically an inflamed section in my large intestine which would occasionally bleed.

After a few years I noticed a pattern, where I would have a severe flare-up every autumn/winter, which would always result in me taking steroids. A nasty choice of cure, weakening bones with regular use, not to mention the manic mindset it caused.

Then in 2013 I ordered a 250g bag of Chaga pieces online. Initially I was overwhelmed by the choice of superfoods, supplements, medicinal mushrooms and alternative treatments but Chaga spoke to me.  I just decided to drink a pint of Chaga tea everyday until it was gone. The bag lasted me over 3 months.

My first surprise was the taste. It had a rich earthy flavour. Similar to coffee and even had a slight vanilla flavour. For those 3 months I never felt the need to add flavouring or sweeteners to my tea.  Having very poor digestion for a number of years had left me somewhat malnourished, low in vital vitamins and minerals and basically depressed. Even though I had cut out wheat, dairy, alcohol and meat for 4 years my body still wasn’t able to assimilate the nutrition I needed.  6 months after drinking my daily Chaga I was a stone heavier. For the first time in years I had put on weight. My mood had improved greatly and my overall energy was up. I was drinking beer for the first time in 4 years without a bad reaction. I was eating bread and cheese happily too. When the winter came I had no flare-ups, no upset stomach and no bleeding for the first time in 6 years.

So I kept drinking the Chaga. It’s been 18 months now and I feel like a different person. I’ve since added Castor oil packs, Lugol’s iodine, topical magnesium, raw cacoa, Reishi and many other things to my bodys health regime but it was the Chaga that gave me the much needed boost to get me up and moving. My plan is to drink a pint of Chaga every day for 7 years to undo the period of ill health I had.  I couldn’t be happier to share the knowledge and power of Chaga with you.

Sincerely and in good health,

Philip Cotter
